Which recalls have their own guides?
- Genesis: park outside over seat fire risk
- Toyota RAV4 Plug-In Hybrid power-loss recall
- VW ID.4 battery fire recall
We've also covered the Mercedes brake hose recall, Ford's F-150 fuel tank recall and Jeep's Grand Cherokee coil spring recall separately.
What are the smaller recalls?
Volvo EX30. NHTSA says the head restraint cushion "may detach during a crash." Dealers will apply adhesive to reinforce it. Letters are due around November 30.
Honda hybrids. This recall covers vehicles already fixed under an earlier campaign, 26V366. Pressure can build in the tire repair kit's sealant bottle, so the cap "can become a projectile." Dealers will replace the nozzle, and letters are due November 16.
Ram 2500. The steering column control module can cause a loss of electronic stability control. Dealers will replace the module, with letters due November 24.
Which recalls still don't have a fix?
| Recall | What to do until it's fixed |
|---|---|
| Hyundai Genesis / G80 | Park outside, away from buildings and other cars |
| Volkswagen ID.4 | Charge to no more than 80% |
Both automakers will send a second letter when the repair is ready.
How do I check my car?
Enter your 17-digit VIN at nhtsa.gov/recalls. The VIN is on the lower driver's side of the windshield and on your registration card. Very new recalls can take a few days to show up, so check again if your model is listed above. Recall repairs are always free.
