Prada Galleria is Prada's new eight-floor destination in Milan's Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, opened on September 23, 2026, on the exact spot where Mario Prada opened the first Fratelli Prada store in 1913. It brings together the brand's women's and men's stores, the Marchesi 1824 pastry shop, an art and research space from Fondazione Prada, private client rooms and Pradasphere, the house's first permanent museum-style exhibition.

Here is what is inside, where to find it and what is still unknown about visiting.

What is Prada Galleria?

Prada Group announced the project on June 22, 2026, describing a single destination that combines fashion, hospitality, art and the brand's history. The Prada Donna women's store and the Prada Uomo men's store face each other across the Galleria's central octagon, and the project climbs through every level above the men's store.

The women's store has been enlarged, Prada said, and now carries luggage, beauty and home categories alongside a wider range of bags, accessories and ready-to-wear, Wallpaper* reports.

For the first time, the two stores are joined by a new underground passage, the Passaggio Segreto, which Paris Select Book reports is lined with archive pieces.

What's inside, floor by floor

Prada has not published a full floor-by-floor plan. Based on Prada Group's announcement and reporting by Wallpaper* and Paris Select Book, the spaces are:

  • Prada Donna and Prada Uomo: the women's and men's stores, on opposite sides of the arcade.
  • Marchesi 1824: a café from the historic Milanese pasticceria Prada owns, on the mezzanine, according to Wallpaper*.
  • Pradasphere: the exhibition, on the level above Marchesi 1824 (Wallpaper*), which Paris Select Book places on the piano nobile.
  • Osservatorio Fondazione Prada: the foundation's space for photography, visual experimentation and research.
  • Private client spaces: a salon and an apartment, Wallpaper* reports. Paris Select Book names them The Studio, a private shopping room by appointment only, and L'Appartamento, a venue for private dinners and events that it says displays works by the German photographer Andreas Gursky.

The interiors pair Marchesi's pistachio green walls with black-and-white marble floors and dark wood panelling, according to Wallpaper*. Prada has not named an architect for the project.

What is Pradasphere?

Pradasphere is billed as the first permanent exhibition dedicated to Prada. It follows the company from 1913 to the present in three chapters: Origins, Evolution and Perspectives, using products, archive material, fashion, imagery, film and collaborations, according to Jetset.

The name is not new. Prada used "Pradasphere" for a touring exhibition in 2014, but this is the first time the brand has given its history a permanent home.

When is it open, and do you need to book?

This is the gap in the coverage so far. The coverage reviewed here, including Prada Group's announcement, does not list opening hours, say whether Pradasphere is free or ticketed, or explain how to visit Marchesi 1824. Only the private shopping room is reported as appointment-only.

If you are planning a trip, check Prada's official website or call the store before you go.

Why this address matters to Prada

The Galleria is where the company began. Mario Prada opened the first Fratelli Prada store there in 1913, selling leather goods and luggage. The house later named its Galleria top-handle bag, launched in 2007, after that store.

Prada has not commented publicly on the business case. Paris Select Book reports, without naming a source, that the group is aiming for about €100 million a year in sales from this single address, and that Lorenzo Bertelli, Mario Prada's great-grandson, sees the project as personal, with Miuccia Prada and Patrizio Bertelli closely involved. It also reports CEO Andrea Guerra as saying hospitality and client experience are central to the group's strategy. None of these points has been confirmed by Prada on the record.

Prada Group right now

Prada Galleria arrives as Prada Group grows while much of luxury slows. In the first half of 2026, group net revenue rose 16% to €3.048 billion, or 5% at constant scope, helped by Versace, which Prada finished buying from Capri Holdings in December 2025 in a deal valued at about €1.25 billion. Versace added €305 million in the half, according to the company's results. Retail sales at the Prada brand and at Miu Miu each rose 3%.

Published Sunday, October 18, 2026. Details come from Prada Group's June 2026 announcement and reporting by Wallpaper, Footwear News, Jetset and Paris Select Book. Opening hours, ticketing and the €100 million sales target have not been confirmed by Prada.*
