Rockstar Games released the Grand Theft Auto VI launch trailer on October 15, 2026. The game comes out Thursday, November 19, 2026, on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, priced at $79.99. There is still no PC version.

The roughly 90-second trailer is the last big look before launch, and it passed a million YouTube views in about half an hour.

What's in the GTA 6 launch trailer?

The trailer centres on Jason and Lucia. Jason talks about the obstacles he has faced since leaving the military. Lucia wears a monitoring anklet and asks whether they are going to be OK.

Then come the set pieces. A helicopter crashes behind Jason; Lucia hangs out of another, firing a grenade launcher over the city; a third swings chained cargo through office windows. There are police confrontations, robberies and high-speed chases. It ends with the pair leaping from a rooftop into a hotel pool.

Rockstar's description sets up the story: after an easy score goes wrong, Jason and Lucia are pulled into a criminal conspiracy that stretches across Leonida, the game's take on Florida.

The whole trailer was captured on PlayStation 5, with PlayStation branding at the start and end.

What song is in the trailer?

"Flower in a Hurricane" by Justice, featuring Tame Impala, SZA and King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard. Unlike the first two trailers, which used Tom Petty's "Love Is a Long Road" and The Pointer Sisters' "Hot Together," this is original music. Justice also composed the game's score, and the track will be on Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album.

When does GTA 6 come out?

November 19, 2026. It took two delays to get there:

Announced target What happened
Fall 2025 Window given with the first trailer in December 2023
May 26, 2026 First delay, announced May 2025
November 19, 2026 Second delay, announced late 2025

Rockstar has held the November date since, and Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick has said he feels "very good" about it. Pre-ordered copies are due to pre-load from November 12.

How much does GTA 6 cost?

  • Standard Edition: $79.99
  • Ultimate Edition: $99.99

Prices are the same on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. Every pre-order made before launch includes the Vintage Vice City Pack, which adds a two-tone 1955 Vapid Stanier and retro outfits for Jason and Lucia. The Ultimate Edition adds more vehicles, weapons, businesses and side missions, and players can upgrade from Standard later.

One thing to know before you buy a box: reports on the listings say the retail version contains a download code, not the game on a disc.

Is GTA 6 coming to PC?

Not at launch, and Rockstar hasn't said when. The game is announced only for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. Reports of a PC release around a year after consoles are unconfirmed.

That would follow Rockstar's pattern: Grand Theft Auto V and Red Dead Redemption 2 both reached PC after their console releases. But until Rockstar announces a date, PC players have nothing official to go on.

What to watch before November 19

Pre-load day, November 12. Pre-ordered copies can start downloading a week early.

A PC announcement. Anything from Rockstar on a PC version would be the next major news.
