Billy Ray Cyrus and Elizabeth Hurley are engaged, sources told Page Six on Thursday. TMZ, Extra and others have since reported the same.
Neither has announced it outright. They have not needed to.
The clues
On Monday, Hurley, 61, posted a mirror selfie from the set of Peacock's "The 'Burbs," where she is filming the second season. On her left ring finger was a large diamond.
"She's filming 'The 'Burbs'; I hardly think this ring is a prop," a source told Page Six.
On Thursday, Cyrus, 65, posted about a NASCAR show with the caption: "Kinda has a ring 💍 to it." Hurley's son, Damian, replied with a celebratory emoji.
On Friday, Cyrus posted about something else entirely: a pre-race concert before NASCAR's Freeway Insurance 500 on Sunday.
How they got here
They met in 2022 on the set of the holiday movie "Christmas in Paradise." They went public on Easter Sunday 2025, and have since appeared together at events including the CMA Awards.
Hurley has said she knew it surprised people. "I think people found Billy and I being together a little surprising," she told Page Six last year. She said they are "quite similar and get on extremely well," and both love laughing and country music.
Fourth and second
If they marry, it will be Cyrus's fourth marriage and Hurley's second.
Cyrus was married to Cindy Smith from 1986 to 1991, to Tish Cyrus from 1993 to 2023, and to the singer Firerose from 2023 to 2024. He has six children, including Miley, Noah and Braison Cyrus. Earlier this month, Firerose made abuse allegations against him in a Page Six interview. Cyrus has not responded to them publicly.
Hurley was married to businessman Arun Nayar from 2007 to 2011, and was with Hugh Grant for 13 years before that. Her son, Damian, 24, is from her relationship with the late producer Steve Bing.
No wedding date has been reported.
Published Saturday, October 17, 2026. The engagement is reported by Page Six and other outlets citing unnamed sources; neither Cyrus nor Hurley has confirmed it directly.
