Disclosure Day, Steven Spielberg's UFO thriller starring Emily Blunt and Josh O'Connor, is streaming exclusively on Peacock in the U.S. It arrived on October 9, 2026, and has been the service's No. 1 movie every day since October 11, according to FlixPatrol's rankings.

It's included with any Peacock plan, so there's nothing extra to rent.

How do I watch Disclosure Day?

Sign in to Peacock and search for it. It's part of the regular catalogue on both plans:

  • Peacock Premium (with ads): $12.99/month or $129.99/year
  • Peacock Premium Plus (limited ads, downloads): $19.99/month or $199.99/year

Peacock no longer runs a standard free trial.

If you'd rather own it, Disclosure Day has been on digital storefronts since July 21 and on 4K UHD, Blu-ray and DVD since August 25.

What is Disclosure Day about?

Peacock's own description: Margaret Fairchild (Blunt), a Kansas City TV meteorologist, has an unexplained "event" while broadcasting live, and it changes the course of her life. She teams up with cybersecurity specialist Dr. Daniel Kellner (O'Connor) to reveal to the world that extraterrestrial life exists, while Noah Scanlon (Colin Firth), the CEO of government contractor Wardex, tries to stop them.

Colman Domingo plays disclosure advocate Hugo Wakefield, Eve Hewson plays former nun Jane Blankenship, and Wyatt Russell plays Margaret's boyfriend.

It's Spielberg's first UFO film since War of the Worlds in 2005, and his 37th feature.

Why is it No. 1 on Peacock?

Disclosure Day was a solid but not spectacular performer in theaters, and streaming has given it a second wind.

It opened at No. 1 on June 12 with about $44.5 million in the U.S. and Canada, according to Box Office Mojo, the biggest debut for an original Spielberg film without adjusting for inflation, AP reported. It finished with about $246.2 million worldwide: $116.6 million domestic and $129.6 million international.

That's a healthy number on a reported $115 million production budget, but Forbes called the haul "underwhelming" for a Spielberg summer event once marketing costs are counted. On Peacock, where it's included in the subscription, it has found a much bigger audience. It took the top spot two days after arriving and has held it all week.

Is Disclosure Day worth watching?

Critics liked it more than audiences did:

  • Rotten Tomatoes: about 80% from more than 400 critics' reviews
  • Metacritic: 74/100, "generally favorable"
  • CinemaScore: B from opening-weekend audiences
  • Rotten Tomatoes audience score: 69%
